The SickleInAfrica Consortium (http://www.sickleinafrica.org/) made up of the Sickle Pan African Research Consortium (SPARCO) and the Sickle Data Coordinating Centre (SADACC) held its Third Consortium Meeting in Abuja from the 7-9th November 2018. This meeting was preceded by a SADACC Site Inspection by the Data Management Team and a Data Management Workshop for Members of SPARCO Nigeria Abuja Site as well as collaborators from 25 clinical centres of the Sickle Cell Support Society of Nigeria who are involved in the SPARCO research work.
During the visit, members of the Consortium led by Professor Julie Makani Principal Investigator of SPARCO and Professor Ambroise Wonkam, the Principal Investigator of SADAAC visited the University and were received by the DVC Academic, Professor EJC Nwana.
